I was asked to create a series of announce assets for Lucy Dacus’ 2026 shows in Australia and Japan.

The challenge was to create something fresh but in line with Lucy’s existent overall branding. It was also important that the overarching concept be appropriate for multiple markets.

I wanted to reference the picture frame motif utilized throughout Lucy’s album cycle, while clearly delineating that these shows were something new.

The idea of postage came to mind — a visual nod to the frame, as well as an indication that Lucy is making the long journey to the eastern hemisphere.

Vintage stamps from Australia and Japan leant rich inspiration for layout, typography, texture, and colors.

The various assets were adapted for a range of social media specifications as well as for print, to be sold as merch.
